Blackdog Cat is an aluminium boat building company in New Zealand, all aspects of build were done in-house from design,cutting and folding of the aluminium... Right through to sea trialling the finished product.

Danny began his time here as a fitout technician installing outboard engines, electrical and plumbing systems, windows and hatches, as well as everything else that is expected on high-end fishing boats such as sound systems, fish finders, lighting, and an ever growing list of electronics.

He quickly moved up to head of department and then into the workshop supervisor role, overseeing a team of 13 people in three departments (design, fabrication and fitout) producing over 40 boat, motor and trailer packages a year!
